Response to the County Salary Commission

The salaries of the Cowlitz County Commissioners currently are set by a County Salary Commission (CSC). I won't go into the details of the CSC, but I will assure you that categorically I keep an arms length away from that group.

In their recent meeting they set the salary increase to 0%, which they have every right to do, and they asked (so far I have not received an official request) for an accounting of how we spend our time. While that request is legitimate, it is the wrong question to ask. I try to explain that in my response, which is linked below.
